Horizon

She stared far across the horizon aware of nothing but

her fingers that kept circling around her ring,

the ring that she wore from the day he went down on his knee, the day

she told Yes for the first time, without a second thought.

As her subconscious wandered too far, she

was unaware of him sitting beside her.

“What’s bothering you, baby?”, she faintly heard him and just shrugged off.

She felt his gaze on her, and murmured,”You”.

He stiffened, as she went on, “No, actually us,

it’s different, you hide from me; somethings have changed.”

He felt irritated and said “It’s work”.

She turned away and watched the waves far away for a long moment

and spoke, “You either let me in or let me go, it’s your choice”
