She stares outside the window,
far across the horizon,
she feels the wind across her skin,
slowly memories dawn on her,
to the days, back when she stared helplessly
as she watched her hopes falling apart.
The memories, shifting through her days
of denial, realization and acceptance.
A novel presence soothing away
her dismal days, accepting her flaws,
with a silent, pure effort.
Now, as she watches the color of the sky,
all she can picture is the dreams
of a blissful moment, where she will
watch this sunset, holding hands with him.
